Sir Walter Coffee

The craftsmanship with the food and drinks at this location cannot be beat. I was visiting the city for the first time and came there 6/6 days I was in Raleigh. I tried a lot of things on the menu, but my favorites were definitely the Old Fashioned, Vietnamese Coffee, or the ginger slap. The food here is small but high quality; I would recommend the southern pimento sammy. The staff, especially Elizabeth/Beck, goes out of their way to ensure what you get is what you want. And if you’re having a hard time choosing, they were extremely helpful and patient. We were there for 1-2 hours at a time and saw various rushes, all of which were handled very efficiently, max wait time appeared to be under 10/15 minutes top. This place appeared to be dog friendly as we saw a plethora of cute dogs. I can’t recommend this place enough and Beck if you’re reading this, keep up the amazing work! I already have friends back home attempting to re create the old fashioned you made us every day!!

I've always loved going to Sir Walter. It doesn't get enough love. The seasonal coffee menu is always perfectly suited for the season without being too sweet. The atmosphere is moody and cozy.

Great dark roast coffee and banana bread to die for. The service is outstanding. We asked a question about finding a hairbrush. Not only did they find a nearby store, while we enjoyed the coffee, they called ahead for us to confirm that one was in stock! Genuine hospitality!

Great service, Music, Ambiance and awesome drinks. Must visit if you are looking for a refreshing drink. We have ordered cold drink: The Raleigh which was perfect, very refreshing and tasty.

Great bev, great service, great time!! Came here between hopscotch sets for coffee and drinks and had a fun chill time sitting out on the patio. Went to the other location so you know I had to hit both, I’m the number one sir Walter fan in town.

This is a super vibey place with a lot of options! We got coffee to go but I’d love to dine in next time. The peppermint bark mocha was the best I’ve had. It wasn’t too sweet and I could tell it was dark chocolate. I’ve heard great things about their seasonal menu and cannot wait to go back!

Very cute and cozy local café with great coffee choices and quick service. Nice atmosphere to do work, school, or just spend time. The breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel with turkey sausage hit the spot and I loved the chipotle dip it came with. The Belgian waffle was also amazing, smelled great, tasted great and was the perfect size. You could tell it was made fresh. I very much enjoyed having breakfast here with my partner.
